Kelly Vlahakis-Hanks is the president and CEO of Earth Friendly Products, the maker of ECOS plant-based laundry detergents and household cleaners. Founded over 50 years ago, Earth Friendly Products has been pioneering environmentally friendly products long before green was cool. It’s still a family-owned and -operated company that has grown to four sustainable manufacturing facilities across the U.S. and global sales in over 60 countries.

As president and CEO, Kelly is transforming the cleaning products industry with cutting-edge green science innovations and sustainable business practices. She’s creating green jobs here in the U.S. while making cleaning products that are safer and affordable for everyone. Under her leadership, Earth Friendly Products achieved the unprecedented “trifecta” of sustainable manufacturing: carbon neutrality, water neutrality, and Platinum Zero Waste certification. She pays her employees a minimum wage of $17 per hour and offers family-friendly benefits such as health insurance, paid sick leave, and family leave. A graduate of UCLA and Chapman University, she’s an active member of several boards, including the Environmental Media Association and the American Sustainable Business Council, and she’s earned many awards for her leadership in sustainability and green science.
