Bob BilbruckMr. Bilbruck is Founder and CEO of Captjur (B2 Group), an internationally recognized strategy and consulting firm. He is responsible for developing and managing all aspects of strategy and operations within Captjur (B2 Group’s) organization. Mr. Bilbruck’s nearly 25-year career is rooted in strategy services, along with program development, sales, channel, marketing, and technology development. Before his current position, he held positions at Brunswick Corp., Samsung, Konica Minolta, NewEgg.com and US Modular.
In the early-to-mid 1990’s, Mr. Bilbruck joined the financial leadership program for Brunswick Corporation where he was immersed into every facet of the many Brunswick businesses (boats, engines, skiing, biking, billiards, and bowling). Given the freedom to be part of every business division within Brunswick (accounting, finance, manufacturing, engineering, sales, & marketing) Mr. Bilbruck was a core team member in the development and evolution of the company. Mr. Bilbruck then joined Leviton Telecom where he was the product manager for the new innovative connected home products Leviton was producing and innovating with at this time. Mr. Bilbruck would be credited with producing the first structured wiring panels and cat 5 home run wiring configurations which now are standard equipment in all smart homes. Mr. Bilbruck would leave Leviton to embark on his first start up, Index Home. The first of its kind voice and data distributor Mr. Bilbruck would learn what it took to run a successful business and would start his famous knowledge base of what it takes to make effective channels and channel strategies. Shortly after the company was acquired and looking to expand into other areas of tech Mr. Bilbruck joined Advanced Digital Information Corporation where he was product manager and product marketing manager for all AIT technology storage drives, and also acted as the AIT champion for the company interfacing with SONY Corporation. Mr. Bilbruck was the innovator behind the ADIC open drive tape storage devices that allowed the use of AIT drives within ADIC tape storage libraries. While at ADIC Mr. Bilbruck published a paper outlining how someday the home would need Terabytes of storage capacity for music, movies, data, etc. despite skeptics at the time, his foresight turned out to be reality as this kind of data storage is standard in all smart homes today. Mr. Bilbruck was recruited by Tally Genicom to head up their laser printer division and forged a very profitable business partnership for the company with Samsung Corporation. Later Mr. Bilbruck joined Samsung to lead the North American Business Development for the ITD Division of Samsung America. Within his first year, Mr. Bilbruck was awarded the prestigious New Business Award from Samsung given to the top producer within the company. Mr. Bilbruck would gain invaluable experience in the “Samsung Way” approach to sales, marketing, and business development which the company is famous for today. After his tenure with Samsung, Mr. Bilbruck held management positions in sales and new business development for Konica-Minolta. Having an interest in the growing power of the web Mr. Bilbruck joined Newegg.com and headed up the Business Development and Emerging Technology group at Newegg. Newegg grew to $2.3 Billion Dollars during Mr. Bilbruck’s tenor and many of the projects and programs Mr. Bilbruck launched at Newegg during this time frame lead to this growth (Mobile Products, Download Stores, Gaming, Etc.). Mr. Bilbruck then joined US Modular to manage the company’s mobile division and to also assist in taking the company public. Mr. Bilbruck launched innovative products with a mobile focus, such as the patented “Stik & Store”. Mr. Bilbruck & the rest of the management team lead the company to be acquired and Mr. Bilbruck embarked on his second start up, MOBILTAIN. Seeing the demand for text messaging and the rise in digital marketing Mr. Bilbruck would build one of the first and most successful mobile marketing companies, servicing multiple clients. Seeing the opportunity to offer services, consulting, and platforms for clients in wider verticals Mr. Bilbruck spun off MOBILETAIN into what is now the Global Consulting firm B2 Group. Offering womb to tomb advisory and strategy services, along with program development, and technology development, B2 Group is one of the premiere management consulting, sales & marketing, technology services and outsourcing companies in the world today. Counting as its clients major firms such as Qualcomm, Neustar, Bigpoint, Ingram Micro, CenturyLink, Platinum Wireless, CU Solutions Corp. all the way down to the most cutting edge startup and innovative companies like Lively, Independa, iZ3D, Just 5, Kinivo, SpeedFind, and many others. Mr. Bilbruck’s focus over the last five years has been launching and running two new divisions within B2 Group, Captjur and Startup Garage. Both divisions are designed to power new and innovative companies into broader vertical markets, and assist in guiding the strategy, funding and execution for their scaling and growth. He has also founded and funded two new startups; TAILGAMERS; a NFT Gaming Platform and DLIVRY; a Last Mile Delivery Platform and Consulting firm – both have aggressive WEB3 development plans and huge plans for the Metaverse. Mr. Bilbruck earned his degree from Washington State University as well as completed MBA courses. He is active in Orange County philanthropy and sits on multiple advisory boards and has investments in multiple startups. He currently resides in Coto De Caza, CA. He enjoys lifting weights, running, and biking, golfing, and surfing/snowboarding, and most importantly spending time with his son |
